death meditation

Death meditation is a powerful contemplative practice to embrace mortality in order to access greater joy, purpose, and connection today.

Death meditation is a potent practice that offers an array of life-enhancing benefits. It’s deeply impactful work, but not as scary as it sounds. This contemplative exercise illuminates your core values, guiding you to what truly matters. It stirs a profound sense of purpose and serves as a catalyst for meaningful action that aligns with your deepest aspirations, leading to personal fulfillment and meaningful connections with others. By embracing the inevitability of death, you create a taproot of empowerment that nurtures genuine appreciation for life in the present moment. Death meditation is a transformative tool that not only helps you confront mortality (a courageous and radical act in itself), it also enables you to live each day with intention and a deep, heartfelt appreciation for the precious relationships that enrich your life.

Death is not a failure — it’s the natural consequence of life. Death meditation sessions with me vary in length from 10-45 minutes. These group practices include the option to share your insights following the meditation to foster community connection. You have the option to attend live and practice among fellow mortals, or receive a recording to which you’ll have access for 7 days afterward.

Among the many things we share in common are that we were all born and we will all die — in the meantime, let’s turn toward each other in acknowledgment of the gifts of life and connection that are available to us today.
