Put the Spring Back in Your Step

Though temperatures are doing their March dance – up and down, side to side – Spring is undeniably arriving in Brooklyn. I wake to bird song outside my window, the daffodils have poked their crowns out of the ground, and smiles are returning to faces once adorned by frost-furrowed brows. I've even spotted a few honeybees out on their first test flights of the season.🐝

In considering the promises of Springtime, I've been thinking about the ritual of Spring Cleaning. It can often fall into the “chore” category, but what if we decided to place it in the realm of “opportunity” instead? When we consider As Above/ So Below, As Within/ So Without, we can approach the practice of clearing closets and scrubbing floors as a way to prepare conditions for the life we wish to invite in, designing how we wish to feel.

That has me thinking about Spring Cleaning the body as a form of intentional life design – a magic practice of decluttering the body to reveal the soul. A good bodywork session can slough from the cells remnants of challenging moments, stagnant emotional energy, and unresolved mental patterns. A LOT can get done within the relatively short time container of a massage, and I am so deeply appreciative of somatic practices because you can move a great deal of energy without having to think or talk it through. As a very thinky/ talky person, I relish these opportunities for nonverbal connection, surrender, and occasionally… stillness.😌

Through bodywork, you can create unimaginable shifts in your well-being while experiencing deep pleasure and relaxation!

For me, receiving bodywork is one way in which I can tangibly shift out of the grindset and recalibrate my inner compass toward enjoyment and ease. Joy is powerful medicine, and, I believe, exactly the tincture we need to fill our cups and continue to show up, restored, to the work of creating the beautiful, just world we want for ourselves and all beings.

Are you ready to clear out the dregs hanging out in your tissues and mood and bloom afresh into a season of hope and joy?🌸
